Bitmap
|
A bitmap
graphic is constructed by a lot of little squares of colour called pixels.
This makes it easier to edit the graphic because each and every pixel can be
edited. However when the image gets enlarged, the graphic will lose its
quality.

Vector

When a
vector graphic is created it’s done in graphic packages which are made up
purely of objects. Each object can also be edited individually but when the
image is enlarged the image does not lose quality or get distorted.

Either bitmap or vector

The images on
the brochure would normally be small and will not have to be enlarged.
However, using a vector graphic type means that if by any reason the images
were to be enlarged they wouldn’t lose quality.
