P6.configure a computer system to meet user needs
For P6, learners must configure some basic system settings, such as
left and right mouse buttons, powersaving options, screen resolution, desktop
theme, font size, default language setting, default folder locations etc.

||||
|
Lara
changed the icon size to large by right clicking on the background then going
on personalise. On the right hand side it reads ‘icon size’ which she clicked
on to give her a multiple of choices to have as her size she changed it to
large. Next to change the font size she right clicked on the background again
and again to personalise. Then she went to the bottom left where it read
‘display’ which she clicked on what allowed her to make the font size large.
To change the background Lara done the same routine by clicking on the
background then going to personalise . It opens with different options on
which she would like her background to look like. She clicked on the colour
red then pressed save. The background was now red.

making a successful start in your role as an IT trainer for the IT Support
Department of RS Components, you have been have been asked to prepare
training material of a more advanced and practical kind.
Before
you are allowed to do this you are required to prove your abilities in
hardware and software upgrades.

one hardware and one software component in a stand-alone system.

is best evidenced with a witness statement or observation record and screen
shots. Learners must use suitable safety equipment/tools and pay due regard
to health and safety issues.

Firstly
Lara plugged in the monitor and tightened the screws on the plug to secure
it. Next she plugged in the Ethernet cable to allow internet into the
computer. After she plugged in the serial cable for the keyboard and mouse to
be able to function. Finally she connected the cage to cover the wires for
protection. Lara then installed Microsoft office and security essentials in
front of me. She then created me my own user account and configured the
system software. She the configured the application software and documents.
